Nintendo has announced price changes to original Switch hardware, accessories, and software in Canada “based on market conditions”.

The changes will affect the original Switch, Switch Lite, and OLED model, physical and digital games, accessories, Amiibo, and Nintendo Switch Online memberships.

As GameSpot notes, pricing is currently $400 CAD for the Switch, $450 CAD for the OLED, and $260 for the Switch Lite.

The publisher has not clarified whether prices will increase or decrease, but will share details on August 1, 2025 via Canada’s My Nintendo Store.

Nintendo Switch 2 hardware and software will not be affected by these changes.

Prior to the launch of the Switch 2, Nintendo confirmed that US tariffs, which were introduced on the same day as the console’s reveal, were “not factored” into its $449.99 price.

However, the tariffs did affect pre-orders in the US. Once a new date was confirmed, Nintendo reiterated the price of the Switch 2 would remain the same, but prices of accessories were increased “due to changes in market conditions”.
